Bursary Application
The CK Memorial Bursary Award is looking for individuals that shared the same mindset and lifestyle as Carter. Work Hard. Play hard. Carter grew up on a farm haying, raising cattle and running equipment. In his later years he worked in a gravel pit as well as starting his instrumentation apprenticeship.
Are you an individual looking to start a career in the trades, agriculture, mining, oil and gas or other similar industry? If the answer is yes, you are in the right place.
The second aspect of the selection process is based on Carter's love of the outdoors. He was passionate about snowmobiling but also spent much of his time dirt biking, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, enjoying water sports or participating in his local 4H club. Carter valued the clubs and organizations he was a member of and spent time volunteering and assisting. As such we will also be considering applicant volunteerism and community involvement as part of our selection criteria.
If this sounds like you, please continue to the form below and we would love to review your application. The society will choose two (2) youth annually to receive individual bursaries. You must be a resident of British Columbia and although not a prerequisite, priority will be given to applicants residing in the Peace and Shuswap regions. Application for the bursary is not limited to graduating students but focuses on young adults looking to further their education in the aforementioned fields.
Good luck, We look forward to reviewing your submission.
